Wooden Ceiling by Derako

The Derako solid wood ceiling system is one of a kind due to the many benefits it offers. All versions are suitable for ceiling applications in both interior and exterior uses and can be excellently used in curved or arched form. They are available in the versions: linear open, linear closed, linear multi-panel or grill system.

Wooden Ceiling – Linear open

The linear open ceiling system consists of solid wooden slats (strips) which are invisibly suspended using a fixed module on a purpose-built innovative suspension system of carriers and clips. This suspension is on the rear of the system and is invisible. A joint is created between the slats and it is filled with acoustic non woven tissue. Black is the standard colour, but white and grey are available as options. The non woven tissue is attached to the slats in the factory and the result is that the sides of the slats remain fully visible. The linear open ceiling system is ideally suited for spaces subject to acoustic requirements.

Wooden Ceiling – Linear closed

In the closed linear ceiling system, each solid wooden slat overlaps the next. This produces a solid wood appearance through-and-through, but is less suitable for spaces with acoustic requirements. It is also possible to apply varying slat widths to one unit size. The whole fixture is then located at the back of the wooden parts.

Wooden Ceiling – Linear multi-panel

Just as in the linear open ceiling system, the slats in the multi-panel system are fitted using a fixed module on a special suspension system of carriers and clips, creating a joint. However, in this system it is possible to use different sizes of width, which revert back to a repeated pattern on one carrier module size. The groove on the rear of the slats is set variably and this gives the ceiling a special, different appearance. The joint can be filled with acoustic non woven tissue and this system is also ideally suited for spaces subject to acoustic requirements.

Wooden Ceiling – Grill

The wooden grill (grid) ceiling system consists of solid wooden slats that are secured to each other with aluminium or flexible plastic dowel clips. These assembled slats form the grill panel, which can be produced in various lengths. This is determined by the structural conditions and ultimately decided by mutual agreement. The grill panels are seamlessly fitted into one another with a half-lap dowel joint, which produces the visual effect of a single uninterrupted surface.
The Derako ceiling system consists of solid wooden slats (strips) that can be easily fastened using purpose-built carrier systems. A wide range of types of wood, system types, sizes and finishes creates a range of options for the appearance of the ceiling, with creativity as the guiding principle.
